“SALVATION = CONFESSION”

Salvation = Confession

Romans 10:9

Barry Gillies

“because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Salvation is quite simple, God has made it that way because he wants everyone to accept him and acknowledge him because he loves them. It’s a little more than just confessing right enough, you must also undeniably believe with all your heart that God the Father raised him “The Lord Jesus” from the dead.

If you can do this and really mean it then God promises your salvation, you are then justified by God and the Holy Spirit comes to dwell inside you and starts to work on your character. He (the Holy Spirit) now has a job to help you conform to the right way of living, guiding you into all that Gods goodness has for you, it’s such a beautiful thing that happens when your Justified by God.

Check out these flawed people that God used in the Bible below:

  • Elijah – Was suicidal.
  • Joseph – Was abused.
  • Abraham -Was old.
  • Moses – Had a speech problem.
  • Job – Went bankrupt.
  • Samson – Was a womanizer.
  • Gideon – Was afraid.
  • Rahab – Was a prostitute.
  • Samaritan Woman – Divorced.
  • Noah – Was a Drunk.
  • Jonah – Ran from God.
  • Jeremiah – Was young.
  • Jacob – Was a cheater.
  • David – Was a murderer and Adulterer.
  • Peter – Denied Christ three times
  • Naomi – Was a widow.
  • Zacchaeus – Was small and money hungry.
  • Martha – Worried about everything.
  • The Disciples – Fell asleep while praying.
  • Paul – A Pharisee who persecuted Christians before becoming one.

Now that’s a long list right? I bet we can all probably at least relate to one thing on that list.

If God could use them mighty people of the past for great things then he can sure use you for great things to! We must believe that he wants to use us for good things and we have to align ourselves to the will he has for our lives. He has a purpose for us we were bought at a price for a reason you know. So we should dedicate all we do with our bodies to God.

When we are justified and believe and confess then “we are sealed” in his love, he will never turn his back on us or will he ever leave us, infact he goes before us and is always making a way for us. It’s up to us to recognise the right way when there is a fork in the road, temptation.

We are going to fall when we become saved but don’t worry this doesn’t mean your now not saved! But be clear, you don’t have a free reign to just sin. We are continually being sanctified by the Holy Spirit, we can of course backslide but this DOES NOT AND WILL NEVER AFFECT OUR SALVATION!

Believers listen carefully, DO NOT live in a place of self condemnation and STOP always returning in prayer and asking for forgiveness, keep at the forefront of your mind that Jesus forgave every one of your sins. STOP LIVING IN SELF CONDEMNATION! (Romans 8:1)
